Bishop Kenneth H. Moales, Sr. 1945 - 2010 - Eternity

If in life we can meet at least one person of greatness then our journey will have been impacted with that wonderful experience. In this case, our lives have become more purposeful because we had the opportunity to not only meet but to know a man of greatness.

The legendary Bishop Kenneth H. Moales, Sr. is a documented hero in the hallmark of preaching, music and leadership. There are few gentlemen that will live such a consecrated life of service for God and His people.

We are overwhelmed with the loss, thankful to God for the experience, compelled to hear God's voice and committed to carry on with the legacy. Our Convention has had two extraordinary Presidents. The founder, Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, the Father of Gospel Music, and then Bishop Kenneth H. Moales, Sr., the Elijah of Gospel Music. Having lost our previous leader we declare this time to be a moment of mourning.

Having served as our President since 1993, we have come to the firm conclusion that we too must offer our body as a living sacrifice. Bishop left no stone unturned, no voice unheard, and no regrets among the people he led.

We must join hands together and sing "Precious Lord take my hand, lead me on let me stand..." The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses honors and loves all that President Moales stood for and with him having done all he could for us it is now time that we do the "War Cry" and stand.

Marabeth Gentry
NCGCC, 1st Vice President

Minister Derrick E. Roberts
NCGCC, Chairman of the Board

This hurts...this really hurts...
My life has truly been impacted by the service and leadership of Bishop Moales, his family and the NCGCC Family.
I thank you Lady Moales and family for sharing your husband, father, etc. He will never, ever, be forgotten in my life. I already missed him..I shared with him how I became a member of the convention...because of his preaching.. I asked him to please, please preach in 2011 and his response "we will see about that!" His sermon through his life (legacy) has already been preached and because of this I have been truly, truly, blessed!!!! 2010 Convention was AWESOME but Oh the joy that floods my soul to see his legacy continue.
Yes, Yes, Yes YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ES!
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!
Love you Bishop...Goodnite...See you in the morning!

Mother First Lady Peggy Moales our condolences to you and the entire family! I'll never forget Bishop Dr. Kenneth Moales actually gave my ministry "V.E. LoveLace Ministries" reasons to live. Bishop gave me the opportunity to sing in his church, and even had me put some of my CDs in his/your bookstore. Bishop Dr. Moales after including me in his lunch trip for the Mothers of his Church, took me along with him, his sister Mother Mary Moales and other mothers. He called me Mother LoveLace. Wow! He prayed over my husband and rebuked the diagnosis and the next visit to the doctor his PSA went from a 5 to a 3! Doc loved the news! The little bits I have put here says why we the LoveLaces will forever be grateful for the time we spent with Bishop at the church and socially! Mother Peggy we know because you know how he lived when Doc. took his last breath, God dispatched angels to mark the spot where his body will be laid to rest until resurrection morning! God Bless you and Keep you! Lol!

Today we say goodbye to a great man. I have known Bishop all of my life from a little girl playing with his daughter & attending youth worship at his church to growing up to be inspired by his ministry & leadership. Bishop has stamped a mark on my life. His style & grace in the pulpit, board room, & on stage commands the attention of all who watch. But it is his words that mean the most. When you stop & really focus & listen to what he has to say you will be blown away by the wisdom that he has that is covered by the spirit of God. I have learned how to be a better leader & follower by being blessed with the opportunity to have walked with him. His legacy & vision will live on. He has instilled in me to always remember the Dream of Dr. Dorsey... follow the Vision of your leader...stay focused on the future...& with all of those things Let God lead the way.

Thank you God for blessing my life with him. Thank you Lady Moales, Moales children, & family for sharing him.
